Network Software Developer
Montreal, QC (hybrid - onsite at least 3 days per week)
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the architecture, designing, and developing an IPS test infrastructure for avionic interoperability validation.
- Develop and evolve existing VHF ground system to implement routing between IPv6 and VDLm2 aeronautical networks.
- Design and implement IPv6 test infrastructure network.
- Prepare functional and design specifications adhering to internal documentation standards.
- Generate and maintain documentation for design, specification, development, testing, integration, and deployment phases.
- Perform unit and qualification testing of software applications, including functional and performance tests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of programming experience in C/C++ in a Linux environment.
- Minimum 10 years of programming experience with real-time systems, TCP/IP protocols, threads, and state machines.
- Minimum 10 years of programming experience in Linux shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of IPv6 network design, performance, security (VPN, IPSEC), and mobile network interfaces/proxies.
- Experience with mission-critical systems and telecommunications protocols.
- Ability to take initiative to resolve assigned issues efficiently.
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written); French proficiency is an asset.
- Knowledge of avionics communication and messaging protocols preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business environments.
- Good interpersonal skills with teamwork ability.
- Organized, pragmatic, and autonomous.
