POSITION SUMMARY Cogeco is expanding into the Canadian mobile services market while accelerating momentum in the U.S. with Breezeline Mobile. We are seeking a Wireless Device Lifecycle Lead to join our team of innovators and visionaries. Reporting to the Director, Wireless Partners, Devices & Loss Prevention, this role oversees the end‑to‑end lifecycle of wireless devices, accessories, and SIM cards. Key responsibilities include managing Certified Pre‑Owned (CPO) and new phone programs, trade‑ins, mobile device financing, insurance and protection plans, reverse logistics, warranty support, and SIM card product management. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in supply chain management, wireless device operations, and SIM card management, with a proven ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the full lifecycle of wireless devices, accessories, and SIM cards, from partnering with procurement and activation to decommissioning and disposition, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Manage budgets effectively, prioritizing initiatives. Manage Certified Pre‑Owned (CPO) and new phone programs, collaborating with OEMs (Apple, Samsung, Google) on device roadmaps, software updates, and end‑of‑life planning. Lead trade‑in and reverse logistics programs, optimizing device intake, refurbishment, resale, and sustainable disposal in partnership with third‑party vendors. Develop and manage SIM card strategies, including inventory forecasting, replenishment, network compatibility, and transitioning to eSIM technology in collaboration with Engineering and IT teams. Enhance mobile device financing and leasing programs, working with finance teams to analyze pricing models, subsidy strategies, and affordability options for customers. Oversee insurance and protection plans, ensuring seamless claim processing and improving customer experience in partnership with third‑party providers. Manage warranty and repair programs, ensuring efficient in‑warranty and out‑of‑warranty service while collaborating with OEMs and vendors to improve repair and replacement processes. Optimize inventory and supply chain operations, ensuring accurate forecasting, demand planning, and cost‑effective procurement of devices, accessories, and SIM cards. Monitor vendor performance and process efficiency, driving improvements in trade‑in programs, financing, insurance claims, and reverse logistics through data‑driven decision‑making. Analyze device and SIM card performance metrics, including activation rates, return rates, failure rates, and customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities for process improvement. ACADEMIC TRAINING Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications, or a related field. WORK EXPERIENCE 3‑5 years of experience in wireless device operations, SIM card product management, vendor management, and related areas such as trade‑in programs, financing, insurance, or warranty support. Strong expertise in vendor negotiations, contract management, SLAs, and partner relationship management, with experience working with OEMs, carriers, insurance providers, and logistics vendors. Experience with large‑scale SIM card deployments, eSIM adoption strategies, device protection programs, and knowledge of wireless carrier operations, vendor performance management, and mobile device management (MDM) platforms. SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external vendors/partners, and clearly convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and apply creative problem‑solving to overcome challenges. Self‑motivated and quick learner, with a solid understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies in retail and channel management, and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs. Strong negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships, optimize procurement costs, and secure favorable service level agreements (SLAs). Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, IT and Finance, leveraging strong influencing skills to gain stakeholder buy‑in and align device lifecycle strategies with business objectives.
