Known for their unwavering commitment to excellence, our client is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor/Writer to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As a Service Advisor/Writer in our automotive service department, you will be the pivotal link between customers and our service team. Your extensive automotive knowledge and excellent communication skills will ensure exceptional customer service and efficient operations. You will oversee the service team, manage customer interactions, and coordinate service processes to guarantee a seamless and satisfying experience for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement:

  • Greet customers warmly and professionally.
  • Listen attentively to customers' concerns, inquiries, and service requests.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, understandable terms.

2. Service Coordination:

  • Schedule and manage service appointments, balancing the workload for the service team.
  • Ensure timely completion of customer vehicles, adhering to promised delivery times.
  • Collaborate with technicians to identify and address additional service needs.

3. Technical Expertise:

  • Possess deep knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Offer expert advice on necessary repairs and maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Inspire and motivate the service team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior service advisors.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

5. Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and maintain customer feedback systems to identify areas for improvement.

6. Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records.
  • Generate and explain service estimates to customers.
  • Manage service-related paperwork efficiently.

7. Sales Support:

  • Identify opportunities for upselling additional services or products.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide information on vehicle maintenance plans.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Leadership experience in a service department is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using automotive service software and computer applications.
  • ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional education or training in automotive technology is desirable.
