Supervisor Client Flow

Position Overview Reporting to the Nurse Manager Clinics, the Supervisor Client Flow is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Clinics. Responsibilities Schedule support staffing Provide new support staff with orientation and training Oversee and ensure that outgoing and incoming time‑sensitive clinical samples/specimens are handled appropriately Prepare requisitions for purchasing and ordering of supplies and equipment within budget limits Prepare and submit payroll to the Manager Maintain leave and attendance documentation Qualifications Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) diploma from a recognized institution for practical nursing education Two years of medical office or clinics experience, including one year of supervisory experience Eligibility to register with CANNN (College and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut) Current BLS certification and annual recertification Additional Requirements This is a Highly Sensitive Position and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check, is required. Language & Cultural Competence The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment are also considered assets. Compensation & Benefits Successful applicants will enjoy a competitive salary, medical and dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan, relocation privileges and opportunities for training and career advancement. Recruitment bonuses for full‑time, permanent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) positions include: $3,000 on start date, $3,000 at 6 months of service, $5,000 at 1 year of service, and $7,000 at 2 years of service. There is a 2‑year return of service requirement for this recruitment and retention bonus. Government of Nunavut employees serving a probationary period must obtain and provide written authorization from the deputy head of their employing department.
