As a key member of our team, you will lead the design and delivery of fire protection systems for a variety of small, medium, and large-scale building projects. This includes sprinkler systems, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Who and What We’re Looking For Legally entitled to live and work in Canada. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a demonstrated minimum of 4 years of experience in fire protection design, enabling them to serve as the project's Engineer of Record. Proficiency in Revit is highly desirable. Proven experience across the full project lifecycle. Strong understanding of relevant fire protection codes and standards (NFPA, building codes, etc.). Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation tools. Ability to verify design work completed by others and provide mentoring, coaching, and training to less experienced engineers. Experience with field review of mechanical and plumbing installations with the ability to defect work and provide quality inspections on behalf of NDY or the client. Strong technical background that you want to continue to build on with experience across different market sectors including residential, office, education and the like. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients. Additional Desired Capabilities Team and project leadership experience and ability to manage resources, financial performance, and delivery of multi-discipline projects as a project leader and as the key interface with our clients. Strong relationships with local clients and industry partners. Proven business development experience and work-winning track record. Our salary ranges are determined by job family and level. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
