Teach high school math and science in person at Oxford Learning Halifax, supporting Grades 9–12 students through structured, individualized instruction.
This part-time Tutor position serves students at the Quinpool Road location. You will strengthen subject knowledge and learning skills through Oxford Learning’s proven methodologies. The work includes algebra, advanced functions, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach up to three students at a time
- Provide individualized math and science subject support
- Track progress and complete brief post-lesson notes
- Foster a positive, focused learning environment
- Build rapport through professional, structured instruction
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress
- Relevant background in math, science, or engineering
- Strong high school curriculum knowledge
- Tutoring, teaching, or coaching experience
- Availability two to three evenings weekly
