The Senior Project Manager applies established project management principles, tools, and templates including the executing, controlling and closing phases. Provides leadership to ensure the overall completion of project deliverables are achieved including managing project scope, resources, communications, risks/issues, budget, timelines, procurement, integration, quality and implementation. Projects will span a variety of areas, often with provincial scope and focus. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of assigned projects from initiation to closing. Apply project management principles, tools, templates, and methodologies. Lead project teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies. Maintain project documentation and report status to leadership. Ensure quality, scope, time, and budget objectives are met. Promote a positive, professional, and team‑oriented environment. Experience Minimum seven years’ experience in planning and implementing complex projects. Leading large complex project teams with multiple stakeholders and change management. Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills. Experience in program development, introducing new systems, and change management. Previous experience in a health services environment. Proven track record of producing results within quality, scope, time and budget constraints. Expertise with project planning concepts (JDS, PERT, JDD) and tools such as MS Project or Workbench. Proficiency in established project lifecycle methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, BATES. Expertise with enterprise project management tools is an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Post‑secondary degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution. Formal education and training in project management is required; certification is an asset. Certification/Licensure/Registration Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate. Qualifications And Skills Demonstrated senior leadership skills according to LEADS in a Caring Environment framework. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio. Knowledge of applicable legislation, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Understanding of project team roles and responsibilities and change management strategies. Physical Requirements May be required to work extended hours. Periodic travel throughout Manitoba may be required. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Additional Requirements The position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
