Driver Examiner 2 - Port Union- Full Time - Perm - Non -Bilingual Apply for this role at Serco and support the Ministry of Transportation’s DriveTest Centre operations across Ontario. Overview Driver Examiners conduct road tests at one of 56 DriveTest Centre locations, evaluate applicants’ driving abilities and record results. The position requires a valid Ontario Class G licence, four years of driving experience and a clean record. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service during the delivery of all Driver Examination Services. Respond to enquiries related to driver licensing and determine applicant status. Examine applicants through a road test, observe and assess compliance with traffic laws, driving regulations and safe driving practices. Record examination results, note errors and areas requiring improvement and complete evaluation forms. Attend travel points to provide testing and licensing services as needed. Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures including occupational health and safety, environmental, drug and alcohol and quality. Adhere to all Ministry and operational confidentiality requirements. Other duties as may be required by management. Qualifications GED or high school diploma (minimum). Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence. At least four years of driving experience verified by licence date. Valid Class M and/or controlled class licence, if applicable. No more than four demerit points and three violations at all times during employment. Knowledge of the DriveTest program, legislation, regulations and company policies is preferred. Intermediate computer skills required. Two (2) years’ experience with excellent customer service. Skills & Competencies Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multi‑task and manage sensitive personal information. Strong judgement, decision making and self‑management of schedule. Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act and related regulations and policies. Working Conditions Exposure to vehicle and weather related conditions. Extended shift hours may be required, including evenings and weekends. Attendance of a formal training session and on‑site shadowing is mandatory.
