Safety Training Specialist

We are looking for a Industrial Safety Trainer to join our team in the Langley area to grow and deliver Hercules approved industrial safety training programs throughout British Columbia. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes: Competitive wages (Depending on experience) Health & Wellness Incentive Full health and dental benefits (shared costs) RRSP matching program (after one year) Personal & Professional Development Opportunities Fun & engaging work environment Free parking Travel expenses are covered by the company (Hotel, gas, mileage, etc.) The Industrial Safety Trainer will be responsible to facilitate training programs for both external and internal customers and to work directly with the local sales team to help build training opportunities. Training programs include Rigging, Overhead Crane, Working at Heights, Forklift Operator, Elevated Work Platform, and Confined Space Entry. Accountabilities Prepare and deliver professional training programs in accordance with company lesson plans and regulatory requirements Effectively schedule training time, Maintain inventory of training aids and equipment Work directly with local sales team to help grow training opportunities and clientele. May include making cold calls, email connections, site visits with local sales team Preparing quotes for training Completing training records accurately Deliver training programs to the Hercules standards to clients Required knowledge and training Post secondary education – in health and safety or other related field or equivalent experience 3-5 years experience in an adult training/learning role Prior operating overhead crane and rigging experience is considered like an asset Strong communication skills written and spoken (English) Comfortable training over multiple platforms including in person and virtual Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on PPT Strong organizational and time management skills Must hold a valid drivers licence for the province of BC Must have a personal vehicle available for travel within the province Travel outside of BC may be required (all expenses paid by the company) Must be legally entitled to work in Canada The Hercules Group of Companies is a privately owned Canadian company, headquartered in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; it is comprised of six distinct companies—Hercules Cranes and Lifting Supplies, Spartan Industrial Marine, Stellar Industrial Sales, Wire Rope Industries Atlantic and Atlantic Crane & Material Handling—with Hercules Machining & Millwright Services as a division of Hercules Cranes and Lifting Supplies.
