Base pay range CA$70.00/hr - CA$85.00/hr 100% Remote Contract working in EST (Sitting in Canada) Start Date: ASAP End Date: April 2026 + possible renewal We’re looking for a Micro Frontend Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, modular, and high‑performing frontend architectures across our digital ecosystem. You will be responsible for defining best practices, guiding teams in micro frontend adoption, and leveraging Webpack 5 ’s module federation and modern build capabilities to deliver seamless user experiences. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement micro frontend solutions that enable independent development, deployment, and scaling of UI components. Design and maintain shared libraries, design systems, and federated modules using Webpack 5’s Module Federation . Collaborate with backend architects, DevOps, and product teams to align frontend microservices with system architecture and business goals. Define standards and patterns for frontend development, CI/CD pipelines, versioning, and integration. Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve performance, security, and developer experience. Mentor and guide frontend engineers on architectural best practices, coding standards, and modular design principles. Drive migration efforts from monolithic frontends to micro frontend architecture. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 3 years in an architectural or lead role. Strong proficiency Angular (preferred), React , or Vue Deep understanding of Webpack 5 , including Module Federation , build optimization, and custom configurations. Experience designing and implementing micro frontend architectures in production environments. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong knowledge of frontend performance optimization , security , and state management patterns. Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills. Nice to Have Experience with Next.js , Vite , or ESBuild . Knowledge of server‑side rendering (SSR) and edge rendering . Familiarity with design systems (Storybook, Figma integration, etc.).
