Position Overview To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA aims to strengthen its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal, and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is involved in developing the Sept-Îles region and executing projects in the mining, metals, and energy sectors. BBA's automation, instrumentation, and control engineering teams are recognized for their cutting-edge technical expertise and commitment to operating and maintaining industrial power systems. Type of Position Regular Your Role Assist industrial clients in energy and mining markets with operations, maintenance, and growth projects. Participate in engineering mandates related to automation, instrumentation, and control, contributing to various project phases and client proposals. Key Responsibilities Prepare plans, specifications, and engineering deliverables (P&IDs, drawings, control schemes) Draft reports, specifications, and tender documents Design control system datasheets and select instruments and valves Provide technical support during construction Perform inspections and surveys Program PLCs, DCSs, and operator interfaces Interact with clients and support business development Establish and maintain client relationships Identify new client needs and participate in proposals Candidate Qualities and Values Client-oriented, independent, adaptable Detail-oriented, committed, business-savvy Action-oriented, decisive, capable of developing others Agile and autonomous Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s in automation manufacturing or electrical engineering Minimum four years of relevant experience Experience in designing control systems and knowledge of Electrical Code Expertise in system start-up and verifications Control system programming skills (SCADA, PLC, DCS) Willingness for short- and long-term assignments Proficiency in project management, technical writing, and cost estimation Membership in a Canadian engineering association Bilingual in English and French (asset) Experience with DCS platforms (Foxboro, ABB, Emerson) and networking (asset) Employee Benefits and Compensation Competitive salary, bonuses, and benefits Onsite mobility premium, group insurance, retirement plan Vacation, sick leave, and employee referral bonuses About BBA Over 40 years of delivering innovative engineering solutions in energy and natural resources.
