Serve customers and prepare fresh produce as a Full-Time Produce Clerk at Thrifty Foods in Courtenay, British Columbia. Support accurate, timely department operations.
Sobeys Inc. is seeking a Produce Clerk for its 9478 Crown Isle Thrifty location. You will deliver exceptional customer service, foster loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and support customer and employee engagement. The work includes produce ordering, receiving, preparation, merchandising, and customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow food safety, health, safety, and company protocols
- Order, receive, prepare, and merchandise produce products
- Provide superior customer service and promote featured products
- Maintain clean, presentable back shop and retail areas
- Prepare customer produce orders and participate in training
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Above-average oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when required
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to bend, lift, reach, and complete physical work
