Join to apply for the Manager, Anaplan CoE role at Scotiabank Requisition ID: Overview The Manager, Anaplan COE is a key member of our Center of Excellence (COE) in the FP&A Transformation team, responsible for building, updating, training, testing, supporting, and maintaining Anaplan models. This role involves collaborating with various business units and the implementation team to ensure that Anaplan models are effectively designed, built, and maintained to meet business needs. The role will ensure efficient and effective use of Anaplan across the organization and contribute to continuous improvement of our planning processes. Responsibilities Champion a customer‑focused culture and deepen client relationships. Understand Bank risk appetite and risk culture in day‑to‑day activities. Ensure operational controls, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk compliance. Support the development of the Anaplan Centre of Excellence, advising on team operating model design. Partner with stakeholders to align Anaplan solutions to strategy. Drive transformation and innovation in the planning process. Understand business processes and requirements with stakeholders and implementation team. Advise on architectural design of connected solutions. Support UX design to drive usability and user value. Develop documented business requirements and functional specifications. Translate requirements into functional use cases. Build Anaplan application models and modules using Anaplan Way methodology. Build data flows to and from clients’ systems and reconcile data. Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to improve performance. Lead updates of existing models to incorporate changing business requirements. Monitor system performance, manage access control, and ensure data integrity. Oversee rigorous testing of Anaplan models and resolve issues. Develop and deliver training sessions and support documentation for end‑users. Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshoot end‑user issues promptly. Qualifications Anaplan certification (e.g., Certified Master Anaplanner) is required. Experience with financial planning and analysis is required. Prior experience in a COE or equivalent centralized model‑building unit is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in Anaplan model building and maintenance. Experience in data analysis, data management, or related fields. Strong planning, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to support and guide junior team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of data integration tools and techniques.
