Overview We are looking for a Manager, Risk Management to work closely with our partners in T&O – Transformation and Enterprise Operations (TEO) to ensure teams are compliant with internal and external regulatory requirements. You will provide guidance to TEO teams to manage their Operational Risk. You will lead, direct, and oversee operational risk management activities to ensure the risk profile of the business is consistent with strategies, while maintaining an appropriate balance between risk and return. This role is responsible for Risk and Control Self‑Assessments, Control Testing and Continuous Monitoring reviews that will drive valuable insights and recommendations to TEO leadership to improve our operating landscape. Responsibilities Complete Risk and Control Self‑Assessments in accordance with RBC standards, including due diligence activities before and after the assessment such as information gathering, audit findings, regulatory review findings, control monitoring results and documentation of key control design and operational effectiveness, and complete activities according to the assessment plan and schedule. Conduct control assessments and testing to support the requirements set out in the RBC Internal Controls Management Standard (ICMS) and ensure that Key Risks and Key Controls are identified and managed effectively. Report on monetary and non‑monetary Operational Risk Events; create reports for senior management; review and challenge action plans. Identify issues and action plans in accordance with the ORM Standard (Operational Risk Events, IT Issue Management Issues, KRIs, RCSAs, Control Assessments/testing and Self‑Identified Issues). Analyze and communicate emerging operational risk areas; assist in the production of reports and dashboards for senior leaders and executives. Review policy and procedure documentation, monitor compliance, and recommend advice and solutions relating to RBC Enterprise Policy Management Requirements. Complete activities according to the assessment plan and required timelines; escalate items to allow actions to be taken prior to due dates, ensuring completion dates are met.
