As VP of Account Management at Absorb Software, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of our client relationships and lead a high‑performing teams focused on driving retention, expansion, and long‑term value for our customers. This is a high‑impact opportunity for a visionary leader who thrives on building scalable processes, navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, and executing consultative, data‑driven strategies. You’ll be empowered to innovate, influence cross‑functional initiatives, and elevate the customer experience at every touchpoint. Lead the North American Account Management Organization Provide strategic oversight of the SMB and Mid‑Market Account Management function in North America, including leadership of managers and their teams. Ensure alignment with company objectives and a strong focus on client success. Drive Strategic Account Planning Collaborate cross‑functionally to develop and execute account strategies that support client goals, drive expansion, and increase revenue across all customer segments. Enhance Client Retention Design and implement targeted initiatives to improve gross retention, proactively addressing client needs and fostering long‑term partnerships. Accelerate Growth & Expansion Identify and pursue cross‑sell and upsell opportunities, positioning Absorb’s solutions to deliver increased value to existing clients. Assess and Strengthen Account Health Conduct regular reviews to uncover growth potential and risk indicators. Partner with the Client Success team to mitigate risks and optimize overall account performance. Build and Develop High‑Performing Teams Recruit, mentor, and grow a best‑in‑class Account Management team, including both leaders and individual contributors. Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous development. Leverage Data for Strategic Insights Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, delivering actionable insights to inform business decisions and improve operational effectiveness. Oversee Contract Negotiations Lead and support the negotiation and management of client contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company standards. Champion the Client Experience Advocate for a customer‑first mindset across the organization. Serve as a senior escalation point for complex client and team issues, driving resolution through cross‑functional collaboration. What you’ll bring 5+ years of account management and 3+ years of account management leadership experience in a second line leadership role. SaaS Industry Knowledge & Expertise: Understanding of SaaS operating and account management models Proven ability to successfully hire and develop leaders and individual contributors, while coaching lower performers to success or out Demonstrated results in growing a book of business: a successful history of penetrating and growing large and small accounts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
