Role: Infrastructure/Security Specialist Type: Remote working EST Hours Must be Eligible for Top Secret Security Clearance Job Description The company is seeking an experienced Infrastructure/Security Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's infrastructure and security systems. You will collaborate closely with development teams to ensure the secure and efficient operation of applications and services. Responsibilities Design and Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain the organization's infrastructure and security systems, including Rancher (RKE2), Kubernetes, Ingress, Egress, Kong, Keycloak, Ceph, Artifactory. Security & Access: Ensure the security and integrity of applications and services, covering identity and access management, authentication and authorization. SSO/IDP Implementation: Implement and maintain single sign-on (SSO) and identity provider (IDP) solutions using Keycloak and LDAP. Network Security: Configure and manage network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls. Policy & Compliance: Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor and analyze system logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and implement security testing and validation. Leadership & Innovation: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, stay up-to-date with emerging trends and make recommendations for improvement. Requirements Experience: At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure and security, specifically focusing on cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher (RKE2), and Kong. Security Knowledge: Strong knowledge of security principles, including identity and access management, authentication, authorization, and encryption. Technical Proficiency: Experience with SSO and IDP solutions, including Keycloak and LDAP. Proficiency in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP). Experience with Ceph and Artifactory is a plus. Compliance: Strong understanding of security regulations and compliance, including HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, and GDPR. Skills: Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues. Clearance: Must be eligible for up to a Top Secret Security Clearance.
