Le travail sera accompli dans le cadre du projet McIlvenna Bay , situé dans le centre-est de la Saskatchewan , au Canada, l'une des meilleures juridictions minières mondiales. Le projet McIlvenna Bay, doté de réserves minérales importantes et évolutives, est destiné à devenir la première mine de cuivre neutre en carbone au monde.

Ingénieur(e) électrique de chantier


Sommaire des responsabilités

Sous la supervision du Surintendant électrique de chantier, le titulaire du poste fera partie de l’équipe dédiée à la conception et au développement du projet. L’ingénieur électrique de chantier sera plus spécifiquement appelé à :


  • Assurer la supervision des installations électriques des projets en construction sur le site;
  • Effectuer des tests et interpréter les résultats pour en valider la conformité;
  • Spécifier et sélectionner les équipements électriques requis pour leur installation sur le chantier;
  • Coordonner avec les équipes des bureaux d’ingénierie l’ingénierie de détail appliqué au site de construction;
  • Coordonner l’avancement de l’ingénierie de détail avec les différents intervenants de projet;
  • Surveiller et vérifier l'installation, la modification, la mise à l'essai et le fonctionnement des systèmes et des appareils électriques;
  • Préparer des estimations de coûts et des cédules du projet;
  • Élaborer des spécifications d'entretien et d'exploitation pour les systèmes et les appareils électriques;
  • Participer à la mise en service et au « débogage » des équipements électriques, armoire de commutation, relais de protection, centre de contrôle de moteur, transformateur et entrainement a fréquence variable.


Qualifications

La personne recherchée doit :

  • Détenir un baccalauréat en génie électrique;
  • Compter un minimum de six (6) ans d’expérience pertinente;
  • Une expérience dans le secteur minier de surface et sous-terre est un atout important;
  • Être en mesure de communiquer en français et en anglais, autant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

G Mining Services is a multidisciplinary company offering professional services in the mining industry, for underground or surface projects, in precious, base, or industrial metals. G Mining Services is one of the largest mining engineering consulting firms in Quebec, and one of the largest firms recognized for international projects.


The work will be conducted for the McIlvenna Bay project located in east-central Saskatchewan , Canada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The McIlvenna Bay project, with significant and evolving mineral reserves, is set to become the world’s first carbon-neutral copper mine.


In order to ensure the completion of this large-scale project, G Mining Services is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to:


Field Electrical Engineer


Summary of responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Electrical Superintendent on site, the incumbent will be part of the team dedicated to the design and development of the project. More specifically, the Field Electrical Engineer will be called upon to:


  • Provide supervision at the construction/mine site for the project under construction;
  • Perform tests and interpret results to validate compliance;
  • Specify and select the electrical equipment required for installation on site;
  • Plan and coordinate the work of the electricians;
  • Coordinate the progress of the detailed engineering with the various project stakeholders;
  • Monitor and verify the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical systems and equipment;
  • Prepare cost estimates and project schedules;
  • Develop maintenance and operating specifications for electrical systems and equipment;
  • Participate in the commissioning and “debugging” of electrical equipment, switch cabinet, protective relay, motor control center, transformer and variable frequency drive.


Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must:
  • Have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering;
  • Have a minimum of six (6) years of experience;
  • Be able to communicate in French and/or English, both speaking and writing;
  • Experience in the surface and underground mining sector is considered an asset;
  • Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec or another Canadian province.
