We are currently seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead a renovation and second-story addition at an institutional facility in Abbotsford. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership role for someone who takes full ownership of the project from day one, maintains a well-organized and efficient site, and drives progress with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate trades, uphold safety and quality standards, and deliver the project on schedule while maintaining clear communication with project managers.
Project Details
Location: 2391 Crescent Way, Abbotsford, BC
Project Type: Renovation + second-story addition (institutional facility)
Duration: Approximately 8 months, with an opportunity to transition into other projects after substantial completion.
Start Date: May 1, 2025 (TBC)
Compensation
$55–$60/hr depending on experience
Extended health benefits, 50% employer-covered after 3 months
Responsibilities
- Run daily site operations from start to completion
- Coordinate trades, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow
- Enforce site safety and ensure compliance with BC regulations and WorkSafeBC standards
- Track schedules, progress, and quality control
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent
- Experience in both renovation and new construction is a strong asset
- Strong working knowledge of the BC Building Code and site safety practices
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and hold a schedule
- Clear, direct communicator who can work independently and keep stakeholders informed
