Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Reporting to the Manager, Property Claims. The Claim Advisor, Homeowner position is technical in nature and focused on homeowner claim handling. **Accountabilities:*** Interpret insurance policy wording, determine policy coverages, and set reserves on all claims assigned.* Investigate, negotiate, and settle homeowner claims or moderate to high complexity by telephone and/ or by written correspondence.* Comply with best practices as set out in Allstate policies and procedures.* Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirement and ensures files are thoroughly documented.* Settlement of claims within personal authority and follow company guidelines on claims exceeding personal authority.* Maintain a caseload reflective of a Claim Advisor, Homeowner and Take ownership and accountability to solve customer problems.* Communicate and interact with claimants, vendors and other insurance companies in a professional manner.* Work collaboratively with a team of Homeowner Adjusters and Claims Assistants.**Qualifications:*** Post-secondary education and/or a minimum of 1-2 years relevant Claim Advisor experience* Completion of CIP designation or desire to pursue an asset* Prior insurance experience and knowledge in automobile and property claims preferred* Strong critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of claimAllstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations. Relevant du directeur ou de la directrice, réclamations biens, la personne choisie occupera un poste technique centré sur le traitement des sinistres habitation. **Responsabilités :*** Interpréter les libellés de contrat d’assurance et déterminer les garanties de police ainsi que les provisions applicables pour les réclamations qui lui sont confiées;* Enquêter sur les sinistres, négocier et régler des réclamations habitation moyennement et hautement complexes par téléphone ou par correspondance;* Se conformer aux pratiques exemplaires établies dans les politiques et procédures d’Allstate;* Respecter les exigences réglementaires et légales et voir à ce que les dossiers soient adéquatement documentés;* Régler les réclamations lorsque son degré d’autorité le permet et suivre les lignes directrices de l’entreprise lorsqu’une réclamation dépasse son degré d’autorité;* Maintenir un nombre de dossiers travaillés correspondant au niveau et à la définition du poste et prendre en charge la résolution des problèmes des clients et en assumer la responsabilité;* Communiquer et interagir avec les demandeurs, fournisseurs et représentants d’autres assureurs avec professionnalisme;* Travailler en collaboration avec une équipe d’experts en sinistres (habitation) et d’adjoints aux réclamations.**Exigences :*** Études postsecondaires, un atout, et expérience d’un an ou deux dans un poste de conseiller ou de conseillère en réclamation;* Détenir le titre de professionnel d’assurance agréé (PAA) ou avoir la volonté de l’obtenir, un atout;* Expérience dans le domaine de l’assurance et connaissances en matière de réclamations#J-18808-Ljbffr
