Processing Technician

**We are hiring a Processing Technician in Whitby, Ontario****Job Description**As a Processing Technician, you will work independently within various departments such as palletizing, granulation, compression, coating, dispensing, and inspection. You may also be required to assist in the packaging department when production demands are low.**Responsibilities**Process and manufacture products following written processing orders.Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for pharmaceutical production.Clean processing equipment and rooms according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Troubleshoot machines for minor repairs.**Essential Skills**Mechanical aptitude with machines.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Proficiency in reading and writing in English.Experience in GMP and SOP environments.2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.**Additional Skills & Qualifications**Steady resume with pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.High School Diploma or GED.Experience in inspection and compounding.Experience in general labor and production.**Work Environment**You will work in a clean manufacturing environment with no dust or smells, wearing a gown. The team consists of 30-40 people, and you will often work independently. Shift timings vary based on production needs and may include day, afternoon, or night shifts. Training lasts 2-3 months, with initial training on day shifts for 1-2 weeks.
