Portfolio Director, Geotechnical, Environment and Water The Minerals and Metals (M&M) Division of AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Portfolio Director for western Canada. The successful candidate will develop strategic approaches to markets, clients, and projects, bringing forward the best solutions to reliably and predictably increase market share in this region of Canada. Reporting to the Vice President of Minerals and Metals North America, the Portfolio Director will manage a $30M to $50M portfolio and work collaboratively with other groups on market development strategy, bid preparation, and project performance monitoring. Your role Growth and Sales: Maintain a highly visible presence with clients in the portfolio; actively participate in market development and execution strategy; oversee framework contracts and monitor project execution; conduct bid monitoring, orchestrate decisions regarding opportunities to be pursued, develop strategies, and lead the development of bid responses. Project implementation and execution: Manage client relationships; lead internal meetings (kick‑off, progress tracking, milestones); validate change requests/contract modifications; support claims file management; manage risks and unexpected expenses. Operational execution: Manage project portfolio to meet regional operational goals (monthly, quarterly, annual); maintain reasonable risk levels; facilitate resolution of customer complaints; participate in monthly internal business unit meetings; deliver maximum operational efficiency while achieving growth objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (strong asset). Over 15 years of relevant experience. Experience managing client relationships; experience in the mining sector is an asset. Completed and actively participated in mining projects. Experience in market development. Political and business (finance) acumen and ability to work in a team environment. Leadership, professionalism, integrity and excellent organizational skills. Excellent ability to communicate, respond and interact with clients. Strategic vision. Fluency in English (spoken and written). Benefits and Compensation Expected compensation for this role is between $165,000 and $200,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters such as skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
