Maintain clean, orderly healthcare spaces through detailed cleaning, disinfection, and safe housekeeping practices. Support surgical areas, patient rooms, and common areas.
This Housekeeping Aide performs light cleaning duties throughout an establishment. The work includes disinfecting healthcare areas, handling linen, cleaning floors, and removing garbage. Success requires following instructions, managing a heavy workload, and maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect surgical areas, washrooms, and equipment
- Strip, wash, make beds, and fold linen
- Damp mop, auto scrub, vacuum, and extract carpets
- Inspect and clean primary areas, lobbies, and elevators
- Respond to emergency cleanups and report hazards
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- Healthcare, hotel, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Good verbal and written English communication
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
