System Security Officer role at SYSTRA Canada . SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway. Context “System Security Officer” means the Project Co individual who shall be responsible for the overall security of the Project Co Infrastructure and be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of security management for the Project Co Infrastructure, including Security Risk Assessment. Missions / Main Duties Responsible for the overall security of the Works and who will be Project Co’s contact for all communications with the Contracting Authority, the Chief Security Officers, North Civil Project Co System Security Officer, law enforcement and emergency response agencies, and others on security matters related to the Works. Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of security management for the Works, including Security Risk Assessment, CPTED (crime prevention through environmental design) and other threat and vulnerability assessments. The System Security Officer shall : be a CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or equivalent applicable alternative acceptable to the Contracting Authority, who shall have extensive experience in the field of system security, System Safety and Security Interface Committee applied in a metro type rail transit environment, in an equivalent position in North America; be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the Project Co security management function (as applicable to the System Security Officer), including Security Risk Assessment and CPTED; be responsible for supporting the Chief Security Officer in the overall security certification of the Ontario Line Subway System as agreed in the SSSIC (System Safety and Security Interface Committee). Profile / Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in electronic or electrical engineering, or other relevant training. Years of experience: 10 years in FDMS (RAMS) operational safety. Technical Competencies Professional experience in urban transportation is an asset; P. Eng or eligible; Good knowledge of CENELEC Standards: EN 50126, 50128 and 50129 as well as MIL‑HDBK‑217 standards and local law: Loi sur la Sécurité du transport terrestre guidé (RLRQ, c. S‑3.3) ; Detailed knowledge of system life cycle, safety design principles and risk analysis; Knowledge of safety engineering in complex and real‑time systems, including system architecture, hardware, and software. Knowledge of AMR analysis techniques such as failure rate prediction, reliability block diagrams (RBD), Markov models, Monte Carlo methods, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA). Excellent command of the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
