Job Responsibilities Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand contract needs; initiate contracts, review, negotiate, and liaise with legal on all types of contracts. Monitor costs, schedules, and performance aspects of major contracts. Facilitate fair and transparent bid processes for applicable projects. While not a supervisory role, this position may involve coaching/mentoring junior members of the purchasing group and delegating tasks within the team. Manage planning, development, implementation, and administration of procurement activities. Coordinate activities and resolve issues related to production planning, procurement, and material management, making or recommending appropriate decisions aligned with strategic goals. Implement and maintain material control systems, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials meeting production requirements. Serve as liaison with governmental and regulatory agencies as required. Review, approve, and implement changes to controlled documents. Track, analyze, and build procurement metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Identify, select, negotiate with, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery standards. Recommend organizational objectives and interpret company policies. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in a related field with a BS or BA degree. Or 8+ years of relevant experience with an MA/MBA. Experience with SAP and Oracle preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across functions. Capability to develop complex concepts, techniques, and standards. Proven problem-solving skills requiring ingenuity and creativity. Experience in contract management. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Strong understanding of the financial aspects of Supply Chain operations.
