Position Overview


The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing products for our retail store network and indirect customers, which carries a diverse range of architectural and industrial coatings, flooring, applicators, and custom-ordered window coverings.


This role will focus on product management, cost management and supplier management, and will play a vital role in maintaining a reliable and cost-efficient supply of products. The Procurement Analyst will report to the Director of Supply Chain.


Responsibilities


  • Manage the purchasing of stock for the main distribution center and retail stores, ensuring that product quality, cost, and delivery timelines are consistently met.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to place orders based on demand forecasts and store requirements working in conjunction with the Director.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier offerings to ensure that purchases are made at competitive prices.
  • Provides analytical support to the Director of Supply Chain and the Marketing team to determine products that should be featured in upcoming promotional programs

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing, preferably in a retail or multi-location environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience with POS systems and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of purchasing best practices, cost analysis, and supplier management.
  • Experience in the coatings, flooring, or home improvement industry considered an asset.
