Assignment:

Full-time 1.0 Educational Assistant position

The ideal candidate will have an understanding if and experience in trauma-informed practice, and who will work alongside students as they work towards meeting their academic goals.

Assisting students with developing executive functioning skills

The successful candidate will primarily work with indigenous youth

Duties to commence August 28, 2024 and will continue for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year

Qualifications:

Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant

Experience working in an outreach school setting

Ability to formulate strong and healthy relationships with students

Working collaboratively with all staff to ensure the best possible educational experience occurs every day

Support teachers as needed

Need to be able to work in a high school environment with the majority of youth coming from at-risk environments.
