Learning & Development Specialist

Brands is looking for a Learning Specialist to join our growing team As part of the People and Culture department, you will play an integral role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of the learning & development processes and programs. Hybrid Work Environment Vancouver‑based and Toronto‑based team members work in‑office every other week (Tues–Thurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM – 3 PM on these days to support business priorities. A Day in the Life Designing Instructional Content Design and develop high‑quality instructional materials—including presentations, training manuals, e‑learning modules, and multimedia resources. Design learning experiences with the target audience in mind. Create content that reflects the O2E brand voice and adheres to brand guidelines. Partnering and Collaboration Partner with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and design training programs aligned with business goals. Training Delivery and SME Support Facilitate engaging virtual and in‑person training sessions, webinars, and workshops. Coach and support subject matter experts in effective learning delivery and facilitation. Programs and Ways of Working Build, support, and continuously improve programs, including onboarding, leadership training, and system deployments. Administrate the learning management system (LMS), ensuring content is up to date, user access is maintained, and training completion is tracked. Measure program effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance data, and make improvements as needed. Manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. What You Bring To The Table 2+ years of Learning & Development experience in the assessment, design, development, and delivery of learning solutions. Bachelor’s degree, professional designation, technical certification, or equivalent experience in instructional design, adult education, learning technology, or a related field. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Ability to create engaging instructional designs for blended learning environments, incorporating synchronous and asynchronous methods. 2+ years of experience designing e‑learning using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360. Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in virtual environments with minimal guidance. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage ambiguity, adapt to change, and proactively address challenges. Effective collaborator, able to influence and work through others to achieve shared objectives. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $64,000 - $80,000 per annum (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.)
