Reporting to the Director of Technology & Integration Services, you will design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise‑grade applications using open‑source technologies. Your work will span the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from scoping and design to launch and implementation. Mode of Work Hybrid (remote and on‑site) What will you do? Develop software solutions by studying user needs, system flows, and data usage. Implement well‑designed, testable code that follows coding standards and project schedules. Lead software projects from scoping through launch and implementation. Collaborate with teammates on analysis, design reviews, and testing. Document solutions with flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and clear code. Perform unit testing and help resolve defects with proper documentation. Conduct peer‑to‑peer code reviews and recommend process improvements. Assist in preparing high‑level designs. Maintain confidentiality of operational information. What do I need to succeed? Must have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software, or Systems Engineering. 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a consistent track record of delivery, preferably in an agile environment. Experience with Eclipse, Maven, and source control (SVN, Git). Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, design patterns, Web Services, REST APIs, Apache Kafka, Schema Registry, and Apache NiFi. Client‑facing experience. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all organizational levels. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Proactive, strong desire to learn. Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills with innovative solution creation. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Expertise in object‑oriented and functional design patterns. Experience with PostgreSQL databases. Ability to create coding and design guidelines for applications. Development and maintenance of Java applications in development and test environments. Knowledge of JSON packages and schemas. Familiarity with Maven build systems. Strong critical thinking, decision making, and attention to detail. Nice to have: Automation testing experience (JUnit). Application development experience in a large enterprise IT environment.
