Be part of a Specialty Solutions leader with a book of business that spans more than 180 countries and seize the chance to make a global impact as we continue to grow beyond $20 billion of total annual premiums.We’re looking for a **Senior Underwriter** to join our growing **Technology** teamThis position is open to candidates in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. **What you’ll do here:*** Leverage the deep expertise and resources of a top specialty insurer toward being a market leader in a dynamic product segment.* Grow and manage a profitable book of business by leveraging business relationships, product knowledge and underwriting acumen. Maintain underwriting quality and book management, which includes: executing underwriting strategy, adhering to underwriting standards and guidelines, self-auditing new and renewal business and ensuring compliance with underwriting standards and authorities.* Develop and maintain superior working relationships with our broker network to successfully achieve mutual growth and profitability goals, while providing a high level of service and product expertise. Identify gaps in coverage and/or services to create mutual opportunities with broker partners.* Participate in broker visits, industry functions and marketing events, travel as necessary and remain highly visible in marketplace* Provide ongoing support in expanding the department, and make recommendations for process improvements* Provide guidance and technical advice to underwriters and underwriting assistants, mentor and coach junior team members, support team members within Specialty Solutions as well as other divisions at Intact**What you bring to the table:*** University degree/College diploma or any combination of equivalent education and experience* Minimum 5 to 7 years of Commercial Underwriting experience with E&O and Cyber Underwriting experience being an asset* Established broker relationships, with an ability to maintain and develop new relationships with all stakeholders* Detail oriented, analytical, self-motivated and strive to deliver at a high standard* Initiative and ability to work while managing competing priorities* Strong team player, with outstanding collaboration and communication skills* Interested in and stay up to date on business trends or other developments impacting our industry and customer segments* Flexible to travel* Strong knowledge in Excel is an asset* CIP designation or working towards it#LI-HybridIl s'agit d'un nouveau rôle au sein de notre équipe en plein croissance | This role is a new member of our growing team.***We are an equal opportunity employer****At Intact, our Value of respect is founded on seeing diversity as a strength.
