We are partnered with a global design practice is looking to appoint a Design Director to help shape the creative direction of its Toronto studio. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, design-led environment that blends strategy, interiors, and delivery under one roof - and to play a key role in raising the creative benchmark across the region. You’ll lead concept design, storytelling, and visual direction for high-profile workplace and lifestyle projects, guiding a multidisciplinary team through early visioning and client presentations. The right person will bring energy, pace, and design confidence - someone who can captivate a room, push creative boundaries, and mentor a talented team eager to grow. What you’ll do Lead concept design and presentation for major pursuits and projects Shape creative narratives and pitch material that capture attention Collaborate closely with strategists, architects, and delivery teams to ensure design intent carries through Elevate studio design culture and mentor emerging designers Represent the studio confidently in front of clients and industry partners What we’re looking for 8-18 years of experience in Interior Design (workplace & hospitality design) Strong conceptual portfolio and confident visual storyteller Clear, engaging communicator - comfortable presenting ideas to clients Proven ability to set direction and maintain design quality Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and interest in working within an integrated, global model Why this role A chance to help shape one of Toronto’s most exciting design studios - creative freedom, global collaboration, and genuine ownership of the local design narrative.
