Overview CodeBoxx serves customers and partners across multiple markets and technologies throughout North America. As our cohorts grow, new graduates and experienced professionals strengthen the internal capacity of our Digital Workshop to deliver projects and products. The incumbent participates in the analysis of customer or project needs to identify required systems. They design, develop, and maintain applications and are responsible for implementing development projects or fixes for software products supporting medium to high complexity business and security solutions, in order to meet CodeBoxx customer needs. The role involves working on projects delivered to clients across North America, in both English and French. Responsibilities Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of complex backend systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Coordinate projects across production and implementation teams, providing technical guidance and support for operations. Act as a resource for colleagues, mentoring and assisting team members on tools, languages, and best practices. Welcome and guide new community members, helping them understand project goals and contributing effectively. Assist and support developers as they complete their implementation tasks, pointing them to useful, relevant, and available resources. Serve as Release Manager, planning and overseeing deployments—including complex or high-risk releases—ensuring smooth execution without negatively impacting business operations. Oversee deployments, monitor production, and resolve high-priority issues independently or in collaboration with other team members. Participate in a full project lifecycle: analyze requirements, design solutions, implement features, and ensure adherence to standards. Review code, write high-quality code and documentation, and set technical standards for the team. Stay current on technologies, tools, and best practices, and share knowledge to improve team performance. Build and optimize AI-powered workflows within applications. Demonstrates technical leadership, autonomy, and accountability. Master at problem-solving and engineering judgment. Team player, collaborative, and adaptable to project needs. Open to feedback and continuous learning. Customer-focused and quality-driven. Qualifications Have at least 8 years of experience in a similar role (desired level: Senior) Strong expertise in backend development with Java, Ruby, and relational / NoSQL databases. Front-end experience with React, TypeScript, Kotlin. Experience designing and working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and SOA architectures. Significant experience with cloud-based applications. Knowledge of REST APIs and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Jira, or similar tools. Familiarity with AI tools or APIs. Understanding of ethical AI principles and responsible AI integration. Understanding of prompt design or tuning AI-generated outputs. Understanding of basic application security concepts (preferred).
