IT Enterprise Architect On behalf of our Legal client, Procom is searching for an IT Enterprise Architect for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s preferred Montréal office. Job Description The IT Enterprise Architect will be responsible for driving the development and adoption of the architecture governance framework, supporting the delivery of the IT project portfolio. This role involves working closely with the IT leadership team to develop the IT vision and strategy, advancing enterprise-wide IT roadmaps, and ensuring that standards, design, and fit are central to all deliverables. This key role delivers innovation and future technology through a holistic approach to help enhance business productivity. As part of technology innovation this role works within a self-contained team, while calling upon relevant expertise in other parts of the department to deliver proof of concepts and product evaluation from end to end. Identifying business users and functions that can benefit from new technologies and engaging directly with them to assess relevance and possible improvement in business productivity. Responsibilities Ownership, development and maintenance of the IT roadmaps and architectural framework including processes, principles, standards and reference library. Lead strategic design/scoping activities within Canada IT and support the implementation of solutions in alignment with enterprise architecture goals and objectives. Includes technical evaluation and selection of technology platforms and tools. Provide architectural oversight of projects, pre-empt challenges and proactively address deviations. Ownership of the Technical Design Authority (TDA) / Architecture Review Board (ARB) process. Work with project technical leads and solution architects to create technical designs in alignment with the architecture framework and assure technical solutions adhere to Information Security standards. IT leadership of the data program and provide architectural oversight of the firm’s GenAI strategy. Identify, assess and recommend technology innovation opportunities. Support the IT leadership team with strategy development, planning and resourcing. Collaborate with architects in other NRF regions, participate in the global architecture community of practice and network with peers in the legal sector. Build strong relationships with key senior stakeholders within the business and become a trusted advisor for IT-related matters. Identify innovative opportunities in both technology and process to provide business benefit, ensuring effective use of existing technologies to maximize their effectiveness and incorporate, where possible, into new initiatives. Provide thought leadership in the development of new services, customer experience, service efficiencies, concepts and designs. Consider opportunities for continuous improvements to reduce costs or improve efficiency. Maintaining industry and Legal sector awareness of technology innovations and recommending proactive steps to capitalize on suitable initiatives. Alert IT leadership to potential risks and suggests mitigations to avoid or reduce risk. An active member of the IT Leadership Team. Any other reasonable duties requested by the Canada CIO. Mandatory Skills Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science. Preferred certifications include TOGAF, Azure Architect, CISSP, ITIL (ITIL Foundation required). 10+ years prior experience as a technical business analyst, solution architect/designer or enterprise architect. Experience with Microsoft Azure, SaaS, PaaS, Microsoft 365, SAP, iManage and cloud technologies. A broad range of architectural experience across IT infrastructure, platforms, networks, security and data. Awareness of existing, new and emerging technologies, and processing environments. Excellent communication and creative skills. The ability to effectively present and ‘sell’ concepts. Exceptional stakeholder management skills. Able to expertly and confidently present innovations, ideas and proposals at senior level and communicate in an eloquent, clear and concise way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effective leadership skills including soft and interpersonal skills, teamwork, facilitation and negotiation. The ability to analyze complex technology and project issues, remove blockers and support project managers in the delivery of the portfolio. A natural passion for the advancement of an organization through the use of modern technology. Whilst many of the projects delivered will be core infrastructure or cloud transformation based, what sets this role out from the crowd is the opportunity to influence the businesses’ digital transformation. Experienced in estimating the build cost of new solutions - both for trials and full‑scale roll‑out and the ability to model their implications based on recommended architectures. Collaborer avec les architectes des autres régions de NRF, participer à la communauté mondiale de pratique en architecture et réseauter avec des pairs du secteur juridique. Établir de solides relations avec les parties prenantes principales de l’entreprise et agir à titre de conseiller de confiance pour toutes les questions liées aux TI. Identifier des opportunités innovantes, tant technologiques que procédurales, afin d’offrir des avantages d’affaires, en maximisant l’utilisation des technologies existantes et en les intégrant, lorsque possible, à des nouvelles initiatives. Fournir un leadership éclairé dans le développement de nouveaux services, dans l’amélioration de l’expérience client, l’efficacité des services, les concepts et les conceptions. Considérer les occasions d’amélioration continue pour réduire les coûts ou accroître l’efficacité. Maintenir une veille technologique sur les innovations du secteur juridique et recommander des actions proactives pour tirer parti des initiatives pertinentes. Informer la direction TI des risques potentiels et proposer des mesures d’atténuation pour les éviter ou les réduire. Être un membre actif de l’équipe de direction TI. Accomplir toute autre tâche raisonnable demandée par le chef de la direction TI du Canada. Architecte d’entreprise TI – Compétences essentielles Baccalauréat en technologie de l’information ou en informatique. Certifications préférées : TOGAF, Architecte Azure, CISSP, ITIL (la certification ITIL Foundation est exigée). Plus de 10 ans d’expérience à titre d’analyste d’affaires technique, d’architecte/designer de solutions ou d’architecte d’entreprise. Expérience avec Microsoft Azure, SaaS, PaaS, Microsoft 365, SAP, iManage et les technologies infonuagiques. Expérience diversifiée en architecture couvrant les domaines de l’infrastructure TI, des plateformes, des réseaux, de la sécurité et des données. Connaissance des technologies existantes, nouvelles et émergentes, ainsi que des environnements de traitement connexes. Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en présentation. Capacité à présenter efficacement et à « vendre » des concepts techniques. Excellentes compétences en gestion des parties prenantes. Capacité à présenter avec assurance des idées et innovations au niveau exécutif et à communiquer clairement, avec éloquence et concision, tant auprès d’interlocuteurs techniques que non techniques. Compétences en leadership éprouvées, incluant les habiletés interpersonnelles, le travail d’équipe, la facilitation et la négociation. Capacité à analyser des problématiques technologiques complexes, à lever les obstacles et à soutenir les chefs de projet dans la livraison des portefeuilles. Passion naturelle pour l’évolution des organisations par l’adoption de technologies modernes. Bien que plusieurs projets soient liés à l’infrastructure de base ou à la transformation infonuagique, ce poste se distingue par l’occasion d’influencer la transformation numérique de l’entreprise. Expérience dans l’estimation des coûts de développement de nouvelles solutions — tant pour les essais que pour les déploiements à grande échelle — et capacité à modéliser leurs implications selon les architectures recommandées. Architecte d’entreprise TI – Atouts Expérience avec les technologies du secteur juridique. Certifications TOGAF, Azure Architect, CISSP, ITIL. Expérience dans des secteurs réglementés.
