What You’ll Be Doing Lead the design and development of advanced hardware for optical systems, from concept to production. Define and evaluate components such as amplifiers, transistors, microcontrollers, ADC/DAC, laser drivers, heater drivers, TIAs, and power supplies for analog designs. Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including software, firmware, optical, manufacturing, and mechanical. Conduct rigorous hardware testing and validation to ensure performance and reliability. Define and develop test requirements and support the product through the NPI lifecycle. Create detailed schematics, guide PCB layouts, and perform simulations using industry‑standard CAD tools (Cadence, Ansys). What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience. Expertise in complex PCBA design and proficiency in hardware design and simulation tools such as Cadence and Ansys. Hands‑on experience with testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers). Proficiency in low‑frequency analog and mixed‑signal design. Extensive knowledge of electronic component properties, fabrication processes, and assembly processes. Experience in power/digital design and in control systems (a plus). Knowledge of optical architectures and systems (a plus). Knowledge of DC power circuitry (a plus). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with teams, both local and remote.
