Your new company This mid-sized insurance defence law firm located in the heart of downtown Toronto is a destination for complex litigation. Clients include some of Canada's largest insurers, government, municipalities, businesses in the energy and power sector and financial institutions. Your new role As an Associate, you will be joining a decades-long established insurance defence practice with a combined 100+ years of legal expertise. You will be tasked with representing insurers, financial institutions, corporations and municipal governments both domestically and internationally, to provide strategic advice and dispute resolutions and a 1700 annual billable target. Your knowledge should include: complex litigation and mass torts, corporate and commercial litigation, commercial and statutory arbitration, municipal and government liability. What you'll need to succeed We're looking for Lawyers with 2-4 years of experience in advocacy, litigation, and dispute resolution, preferably from an insurance defence or litigation practice to further solidify our position as dedicated and successful trial lawyers. What you'll get in return Competitive compensation ranging from $110,000-160,000, two to three remote working days per week, bonus, and 3-4 weeks of vacation.
