Coordinate CNC tooling for CNC Industries in Nisku, Alberta, using machining knowledge and inventory skills on-site, Monday to Friday. Keep production supplied.
As Tooling Coordinator, you will manage the tool crib for a high-mix, low-volume machine shop. The work involves cutting tools, inserts, toolholders, purchasing, and supplier coordination. You will support programmers, supervisors, machinists, and vendors while maintaining accurate records and available stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase tooling requested by programmers and supervisors
- Monitor inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Receive, organize, and maintain cutting tools and inserts
- Evaluate returned tools for reuse or damage
- Communicate shortages and recurring issues before production impact
Requirements:
- Experience in CNC machining, manufacturing, tool crib, or industrial supply
- Working knowledge of cutting tools and common CNC applications
- Experience operating DMG Microset or similar presetting equipment
- Strong organizational, inventory-management, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to communicate with machinists, programmers, supervisors, and vendors
