We refer candidates to Mercor that collaborates with the world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Organization: Mercor Position: Legal Experts (J.D.) Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $100–$110 per hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided): Design complex, real-world legal problems to support training of frontier AI systems Create multi-step legal workflows involving court databases, case law research, and regulatory analysis Develop detailed evaluation rubrics to assess AI agent performance on legal reasoning tasks Analyze AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal standards Collaborate asynchronously with other domain experts on AI research initiatives Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top university in the U.S., Canada, UK, New Zealand, or Australia Professional experience in litigation, regulatory work, or legal research Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, or CourtListener Strong attention to detail and analytical reasoning skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High proficiency in English Application process (Takes 20 min): Upload resume AI interview based on your resume (15 min) Seniority level Associate Employment type Contract Job function Legal, Strategy/Planning, and Research Industries Law Practice, Legal Services, and Research Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
