Freelance Sourcing Specialist (Project-Based)


437 is a growing activewear and lifestyle brand that prioritizes quality, innovation, and design. Known for our elevated essentials we focus on creating pieces that blend style and functionality seamlessly. 


We are seeking a Freelance Sourcing Specialist with experience in activewear sourcing or women's apparel to assist us on a project basis. In this role, you will research and identify potential suppliers across various countries to meet our design and production needs. You will work closely with our Director of Design to ensure that suppliers align with our product vision and quality standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential suppliers for activewear and women's apparel in multiple countries.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on factors such as MOQ, quality, cost, lead times, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Design to ensure suppliers meet our design and production specifications.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding and negotiation processes.
  • Provide recommendations on suitable suppliers to support various product lines and collections.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sourcing activewear, cut & sew, knitwear, and lifestyle products.
  • Strong understanding of international trade agreements, duties, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Experience working closely with design teams to ensure product quality and vision alignment.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage timelines in a project-based setting.
  • Familiarity with sustainable sourcing practices is a plus.
