Base pay range CA$48.70/hr - CA$53.90/hr Direct message the job poster from Global Partner Solutions Hydromechanical Systems Engineer – Flight Controls / Landing Gear / Hydraulics We are currently seeking a Hydromechanical Systems Engineer – Flight Controls / Landing Gear / Hydraulics for our client in the aerospace sector, a leading manufacturer of high-performance aircraft components. Location: Montreal or Toronto (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office) Contract Duration: 12 to 18 months (renewable) Overtime: Not expected (regular schedule of 40h/week) Responsibilities Support the integration of flight control, hydraulic, and/or landing gear systems. Coordinate development activities with suppliers and internal teams. Ensure successful design, validation, certification, and delivery of systems. Draft and review technical documentation required for Transport Canada. Troubleshoot technical issues in a cross-functional environment. Define and execute qualification and certification tests. Collaborate with stress, loads, reliability, safety, simulation, customer support, and operations teams. Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. 7 to 10 years of experience in design, integration, development and certification of hydromechanical systems. Familiarity with airworthiness regulations and certification processes (e.g., DO-160). Strong English writing and communication skills (required) Self‑motivated, organized, autonomous Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with suppliers and customers. Strong sense of initiative, responsibility, and sound judgment. Proficient in MS Office (required). Knowledge of CATIA, Matlab, Simulink (an asset). Key Skills Expertise in landing gear, flight control, and hydraulic systems within the aerospace sector. Understanding of airworthiness requirements and DO‑160 standards. Experience with system simulation and involvement in aerospace development programs.
