Drive established donation routes for National Diabetes Trust, using a valid G licence, safe vehicle operation, and organized pickups. This part-time role offers up to 29 hours weekly.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Charitable Donations Pickup Driver collects donated clothing and household items from homes and designated bins. You will deliver merchandise to Corporate Partners and storage facilities while promoting the National Diabetes Trust mission. The work requires route organization, accurate documentation, and public communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive established routes and complete assigned donation pickups
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Complete daily paperwork and Hours-of-Service Logs
- Check in with dispatch throughout scheduled routes
- Unload merchandise and return equipment to the office
Requirements:
- Full Class 5 and/or G licence or higher
- Minimum five years actual driving experience
- Ability to drive a three-ton, sixteen-foot straight truck
- Ability to handle ten-to-fifty-pound loads
- Clean driver abstract with required recent documentation
Use safe driving, efficient route planning, and respectful communication to support National Diabetes Trust donation collection services.
