About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to help build the next generation of video experiences. You’ll design, develop, and maintain video players across web, Smart TV, and mobile platforms. You will bridge design, engineering, and product teams, influence technical direction, and mentor other engineers. What You’ll Do Build & Maintain Video Players : Develop responsive, high‑performance players for browsers, Smart TVs (Tizen, WebOS, Roku), and mobile web. Enhance Playback : Implement and optimize adaptive streaming (HLS/DASH), DRM, and playback performance. Develop Progressive Web Apps : Build scalable, offline‑capable PWAs focused on speed, accessibility, and reliability. Collaborate & Deliver : Work closely with design, backend, and product teams to plan releases and deliver features that delight users. Mentor & Influence : Guide junior and mid‑level engineers, provide technical leadership, and champion improvements in architecture, workflows, and tools. Stay Current : Keep up with new tools and trends in video, web, and smart TV development. What We Require For This Role 6‑8 years of front‑end development experience with strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills. Experience with Vue.js (React or Angular a plus). Familiarity with video streaming technologies like HLS, DASH, Video.js, or Shaka Player. Proven experience building PWAs optimized for performance and scalability. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON. Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and Agile workflows. Top‑Tier Education: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a 4‑yr accredited institution globally ranked in the top 500 universities. Bonus Points For Candidates Who Have Experience with live or VOD video streaming platforms. Multiplatform Mindset: Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or Compose Multiplatform (CMP). Familiarity with multimedia codecs (AVC, HEVC, VP9) and DRM systems (PlayReady, Widevine).
