About This Job

BALANCED+ is looking to hire an Engineer to execute network engineering and cybersecurity protection projects in diverse business environments.


This person must be a flexible self-starter with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and hands-on experience in computer networking and network security products.


Individuals would be responsible for servicing our client network troubleshooting requests, deploying new or upgrading old network equipment, and providing sound advice regarding their cybersecurity infrastructure.


Responsibilities


·        Design, configure, and install well-functioning computer networks.

·        Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures to protect the organization’s data, systems, and networks.


·        Troubleshooting security and network problems.

·        Network infrastructure gap analysis and pen testing.

·        Responding to all system and network security breaches.

·        Evaluate network performance and identify bottlenecks to ensure the long-term efficiency of the network.

·        Identifying and resolving network and system vulnerabilities.

·        Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring client workers.

·        Regular device config and data backups to protect the organization’s information.

·        Coordinating with vendors to resolve technical problems with network equipment and software.

·        Collaborating with peers to execute daily operations and special projects.

·        Maintaining records of client’s information systems and ensuring compliance at all levels within project teams.


Job Requirements

·        IMPORTANT : Hands-on knowledge of the Fortinet product line (specifically FortiGate) SIEM, SOAR, EDR, SASE, NAC, and ZTNA.

·        Fortinet NSE certifications are required (NSE4 is a must, NSE7 is preferable).

·        Proven and verifiable experience as a network technician/engineer or relevant position

·        Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills

·        Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.

·        Proficiency in Python (Power Shell is a plus).

·        Good communication skills, working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

·        A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements

·        College diploma, BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field

·        3+ years of work experience in a professional environment is mandatory.


Skills and Qualifications

·        Knowledge and experience in delivering network engineering and cybersecurity.

·        Experience in performing network reoccurring maintenance.

·        Cloud (Azure, Cloud VPN, Cloud FortiGate))

·        Cybersecurity (VPN, MFA, EDR, phishing simulation, spam filtering)

·        Ability to manage monitoring (Zabbix) and ticketing (Zendesk) systems.

·        Project management, time organization
