Associate/Full Professor - Head, Department of Psychiatry, WCH Women’s College Hospital (WCH) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and visionary medical leader to elevate its Department of Psychiatry through clinical and academic innovation. The role will serve on the hospital leadership team and join the Psychiatry leadership team at the University of Toronto. This five‑year, renewable position requires the successful candidate to be eligible for a full‑time academic appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto, with an anticipated start date of April 1, 2026 or as mutually agreed. Qualifications The successful candidate will hold Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians of Canada or equivalent and must be eligible for medical licensure in Ontario. The candidate must be a dynamic, compassionate leader with an empathetic, trusting, and responsive demeanor, strong mentorship skills, experience with interprofessional models of care, a commitment to interprofessional education, and exceptional fiscal management abilities. They should be deeply committed to social justice, equity, and advancing the health of women and diverse communities and possess a people‑oriented leadership style capable of inspiring a shared vision. Salary will reflect a 2.5 days per week commitment in addition to clinical compensation and other academic support, in part based on fee‑for‑service billings and sessional fees.
