As a Diesel-Electric Locomotive Mechanic at CN, you will gain expertise under qualified personnel, maintaining and repairing locomotives and their systems. You will perform scheduled preventive maintenance and diagnose issues using appropriate tools. Obtain hands-on experience while participating in practical training and evaluation, all centered on railway safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and maintain diesel-electric locomotives and components
• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance tasks
• Develop knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Safely use various tools and diagnostic equipment
• Record and report locomotive safety concerns and defects
Requirements:
• Hands-on experience in mechanical or diesel fields
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to complete a recognized training program
• Valid driver’s license if required
• Must meet health and safety regulations
Utilize your mechanical abilities and commitment to safety while contributing to CN's railway operations.
