Handle materials and support production as a General Laborer with John Ross & Sons Ltd. in a safety-focused recycling operation.
This full-time, permanent position supports metal recycling through material movement, sorting, labeling, and workplace upkeep. You will assist machine operators and production staff while following safety procedures. The work requires clear communication, consistent lifting, PPE use, and comfort in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move products using basic equipment
- Sort and prepare materials for shipping or storage
- Assist machine operators and production staff as needed
- Label and tag products accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and report deficiencies to management
Requirements:
- Previous heavy lifting or general labor experience is an asset
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
- Comfort wearing full personal protective equipment during shifts
- Safety-driven mindset and clear communication skills
- Comfort working in all weather conditions
