Position BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) in Vancouver, BC, is a leading pediatric acute care teaching facility and the only Pediatric Trauma Center in British Columbia. We are seeking a Pediatric Emergency Physician for regular full‑time or part‑time positions. Position Details Clinical commitments are negotiable between 0.40 FTE and 0.80 FTE. Start date is negotiable but positions are immediately available. About the Role As a pediatric emergency physician you will provide clinical and academic leadership in the Emergency Department, support undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs, participate in divisional and departmental operations, and contribute to clinical and health services research. You will bring a non‑clinical area of expertise (e.g., quality improvement, education, POCUS, toxicology) to enhance our university and health authority mandates. Responsibilities • Provide high‑quality pediatric emergency care and mentorship. • Participate in educational programs for students, residents, and staff. • Support research projects and quality improvement initiatives. • Attend divisional and departmental meetings and contribute to operational planning. Qualifications Completed a subspecialty residency in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or hold CCFP‑EM certification. For those without sub‑specialty training, demonstrate significant experience in an emergency department with complex pediatric volume. Eligible for a specialist license as determined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Has an identified non‑clinical area of expertise that can be brought to the group. UBC clinical faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Application Process Applications will be accepted until the position(s) is/are filled.
