Job Description Senior Electrical Engineer (Mining) Locations: Brampton, Sudbury, North Bay, Thompson, St John, or Thunder Bay offices. In this role, you will be part of the Mining Team, contributing to innovative electrical engineering projects within the mining sector. What a day at EXP has in store for you PLC, Power, Automation, and instrumentation mining experience required. Responsible for maintaining high engineering quality standards on projects. Oversee development of design concepts and ensure proper application and execution. Verify work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, equipment selection, and drawings. Apply EXP’s risk management practices to electrical engineering. Understand and execute all aspects of discipline engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts. Encourage collaboration to seek optimal solutions. Manage work plans and deliverables across multiple projects within budget. Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting requirements or difficult coordination. Perform front-end loading of electrical systems. Contribute to revisions of design standards and specifications. Evaluate cost-saving and value engineering items considering risk. Develop basis of design narratives and electrical system documentation. Participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP and PHA. What Your Experience Looks Like Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. EIT or P.Eng. registration. 5-10+ years of experience in mining or industrial sectors.
