Overview The Managing Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing Senior Directors, Directors and Associates. You will provide guidance and support for coaching, training, continuing development and various challenges. You will be accountable for the successful achievement of your team goals and objectives, including driving high performance, delivering a superior client experience through identifying/presenting client solutions, and creating sustainable value for RBC shareholders. What will you do? Lead a team to develop a strategic understanding of the company’s business model, market position and growth/divestiture plans. Understand risks and opportunities that will impact business performance. Develop a mutual understanding of client needs for creation, protection and realization of shareholder value. Be viewed as a trusted financial advisor. Develop and maintain a client opportunity pipeline and originate new clients for CCG. Work closely with Corporate Client Group Finance (CCGF) and other related teams to ensure delivery of highly customized credit solutions with proper risk oversight. Collaborate with Specialized Finance, Treasury Cash Management, and Capital Markets teams to deliver optimal client solutions and experiences. Ensure appropriate senior coverage with Regional Head, CCG. Create and deliver a superior client experience through pre-call research and planning, a consulting approach, and regular client relationship reviews. Conduct annual relationship reviews for each client, including a meeting with Ownership/Senior Executive and a detailed relationship summary. Maintain and expand the client network and COIs. Monitor market and industry news and trends. Monitor progress against client strategies with partners and clients, evaluate success against revenue targets, and take action as required. What do you need to succeed? Must have : Degree in Business, Economics or Finance 10+ years’ experience in Corporate Banking, Commercial Lending and/or Corporate Finance/Advisory including experience in a relationship management role with demonstrated success managing complex, long sales cycles and cross-selling banking, risk management, and corporate financing products/services Strong interpersonal, analytical and technical skills Excellent ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics Bilingualism (English and French) required Leadership experience and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with a marketing/business development orientation Ability to perform well under pressure, meet time sensitive deadlines, prioritize work and multi-task with multiple people/groups Commitment to task and attention to detail Nice to have : MBA, CPA or CFA Demonstrated experience working with Industrial, Consumer and/or public organizations Established corporate client network and contacts What’s in it for you?
