Project Manager

Qualifications and Requirements Master’s degree preferred or Undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (health, social sciences, political sciences, or another relevant field) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years of relevant experience in non-profit, healthcare, and/or government sector. Experience managing projects in a leadership role. Responsibilities Provides project management on large scale, complex, high profile and high-risk projects for Ontario Health initiatives. Gathers and develops requirements in order to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan. Develops and presents material both internally and to external stakeholders on Health Human Resources (HHR) programs using excellent written, verbal, and graphical communications skills, with ability to express complex concepts effectively. Communicates with external stakeholders about project participation, advises on guidelines and eligibility criteria, and works collaboratively with the project team to ensure a smooth stakeholder experience. Oversee operational tasks and workflow for assigned health workforce projects and initiatives. Demonstrates exceptional tactical and critical strategic thinking to keep projects effective and impactful when faced with changing circumstances, such as program priority or funding changes. Work closely with high level internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and negotiate to meet needs and demands. Desired Skills Strong understanding of Project Management principles Advanced proficiency with Salesforce (or similar) CRM System Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) Proficient at proactively identifying risks and issues and developing tactics and solutions to maintain required project timelines Experience managing and coordinating project monitoring, anticipates and troubleshoots issues, provides ongoing expertise, resolves problems and provides project effectiveness Broad knowledge of the Ontario healthcare system and the various stakeholders and actors; understands the changing Healthcare environment with all its complexities Ability to handle client relationships to manage expectations, provides updates as required, identifies potential conflicts between project and functional areas Experience working in a health human resources‑related role, including understanding of both health professional and healthcare organizational perspectives. PMP certification is strongly preferred Required Skills Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate people with a variety of skill sets Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, senior leaders, and team members toward a shared goal. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly organized with an ability to work independently, while managing multiple projects and priorities within strict deadlines. Strong attention to detail.
