Information Security Specialist – Cyber Security Incident Response Senior-level role responsible for detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats targeting TD. Works within the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and supports 24x7 security monitoring operations. Location & Compensation Toronto, Ontario, Canada Annual Salary: CAD $96,900 – $136,800 Hours: 37.5 Work schedule: rotating shifts, occasional on‑call and weekend support Essential Job Functions Guide partners on technology throughout incidents Lead and manage cybersecurity incidents and events Develop and implement containment and recovery plans Contribute to the definition, development, and oversight of a global security management strategy and framework Ensure monitoring, detection, prevention, and response mechanisms are in place Develop operational enhancements for alerting, monitoring, and detection across multiple domains Adhere to internal policies, procedures, technology control standards, and regulatory guidelines Review and improve internal processes and activities Enforce enterprise frameworks and methodologies for technology controls and information security Influence behavior to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture Job Requirements – Minimum Qualifications University degree or equivalent hands‑on experience 7+ years of hands‑on relevant experience Expert knowledge of IT security and Incident Management practices across multiple cybersecurity domains Hands‑on experience with traditional incident response detection tools (SIEM, EDR, XDR, firewall, WAF, email proxies, NIDS) Advanced experience in modern operating systems (Windows/Unix/Linux/Cloud/Mobile) Advanced scripting skills; ability to read data structures and binary code Knowledge of enterprise technology controls, cybersecurity, and cyber risk issues Strong communication, leadership, and people‑building skills Experience leading complex, large projects Ability to serve as a leading expert in technology controls and information security for internal and external stakeholders Eligibility for employment under applicable regulatory standards Preferred Qualifications Incident commander/manager experience on complex cyber incidents Experience with network layer 7/application and internet‑facing attacks Experience briefing senior executives on cybercrime, triage, containment, and recovery Experience authoring complex communications and operational playbooks Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SANS Top 20, OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK Expertise with SIEM and UEBA solutions (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, etc.) and with CrowdStrike, MS Defender, XSOAR Expertise with forensic tools (Encase, Axiom, Autopsy, OSForensics, FTK Imager) Certifications: GIAC (GCIA, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, GSEC, GCFA), CCNP, CCNA, CISSP, Cloud security Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Information Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
