Multiple Schools Full-time Temporary (32.5 hours per week)
Grande Prairie Public School Division Invites Applications For Speech Educational Assistant Multiple Schools Full-time Temporary (32.5 hours per week) Effective for the school year Competition Number: S Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found. The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision and evaluation of the students.
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to applicants with post-secondary training, such as the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Program
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred
- some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred
- preference will be given to those with NVCI training
- experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors is an asset
- ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care
A current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check must be provided as a condition of employment.
